Lucio Pereira, MD joined as a faculty member in the summer of 2013. Dr. Pereira holds a degree in medicine and dentistry from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil and completed a Head & Neck surgery fellowship at the Brazilian National Cancer Institute. Following his fellowship, he practiced as a Head & Neck Surgeon at Santa Casa Hospital and Gov Isreal Pinheiro Hospital in Brazil. Dr. Pereira came to the US in 2006 to complete a second Head & Neck fellowship at the Karmanos Cancer Institute at Wayne State University and then went on to complete his residency training in otolaryngology at Wayne State University, as well. He practices full time at Washington Hospital Center, specializing in head & neck surgery.
